The book discusses the education of the carvers, the decline of the carving industry, and the participation of the carvers in the world expositions, including London 1851, Chicago 1893 and Paris 1900, as well as smaller regional expositions. Presented is a glossary of better known carvers and carving firms. Additionally there is a detailed index. As new.
