Good no d/j (Book - restoration work carried out - The book was bought in dis -bound and with some of the plate pages detached from hinges (a rather unusual form of binding) and others with old style cellotape to hold them in place. We have consequently re-sewn the book on two tapes with new paper hinges pasted on where necessary and re -cased the book with a matching blue cloth quarter binding, original paper spine laid on. New cream cartridge paper end papers. Residue marks from the cellotape remain and one page corner turned making it rather weak - as the book block is composed of a heavy paper stock. Blue crayon previous owner name in child's hand to reverse of half title. Occasional light marginal soiling. All plates in good order & binding now sound). A scarce children's nursery book with charming illustrations by Appleton. HONOR C APPLETON (illustrator).
