Die drei Projekte verbindet die Thematik: die Aufgabe, eine angemessene Umgebung für die Schulung von jungen Menschen zu schaffen, auch wenn die einzelnen Gebäude sehr unterschiedliche Anforderungen an die Architektur stellten. Gemeinsam ist den Arbeiten auch die Formensprache, die in Gestaltung und Materialwahl Anklänge der Moderne erkennen lassen. Der städtebauliche Kontext der Gebäude dagegen könnte unterschiedlicher nicht sein. Auch hier zeigt sich die Virtuosität der jungen Architekten, die mit ihren Neubauten auf die bestehende Umgebung sensibel und folgerichtig reagieren. Das Blindeninstitut am Stadtrand in Regensburg von Georg- Scheel -Wetze! Architekten fügt sich wie selbstverständlich in die Landschaft des sanft abfallenden Geländes eines kleinen Waldstückes ein. Die Reihung der gefassten, zum Naturraum offenen Höfe erlaubt es den Kindern und Jugendlichen auch ohne vollständige Sehkraft die umliegende Natur zu erleben. Das Zusammenspie! der Topographie mit der Gebäudestruktur und seiner Materialität bieten eine der Aufgabe angemessene Umgebung der sinnlichen Erfahrbarkeit.
