This is the 1910 First edition hardback bound in brown cloth with the titles blocked in black on the spine and front board. 'A detailed architectural study of the construction of an early twentieth-century country house, illustrated with forty plates of plans and working drawings. Gourlay follows the building from foundations to roof, covering structural and architectural details together with a motor house and chauffeur's lodge.' The book measures 13" x 10", it has 22 pages of text plus 40 full page Architectural plates.
