Zwar hatten Lehrende und Forscher erfolgreiche Kooperationsbeziehungen aufgebaut, die z. B. zu gemeinsamen Lehrbuch- und Zeitschriftenverà ffentlichungen führten. Kurze oder längere Lehraufenthalte an den Partneruniversitäten gaben den Kollegen nicht nur neue Impulse, um ihr Engagement für die Lehre zu verstärken, sondern sie lernten auch neue Ideen und Methoden für ihren Unterricht kennen und bereicherten die Studierenden mit frischen und innovativen Ideen und Ansätzen für den Lehrstoff, die eine Unterrichtserfahrung mit einem engagierten Lehrer aus einer anderen Kultur mit sich bringt. Gesellschaftliche Veränderungen - noch bevor COVID-19 ins Leben gerufen wurde - deuteten jedoch darauf hin, dass die Motivation der Studierenden an vielen europäischen Universitäten, im Ausland zu leben und zu studieren, abnahm. Die Teilnehmerzahlen waren rückläufig, und die Zahl der Erasmus-Abbrecher nahm zu. Hierfür gibt es viele Gründe. Die Nuancen, die dazu führen, dass sich ein Student bewirbt oder nicht, kà nnen sich von Kultur zu Kultur, von Mitgliedstaat zu Mitgliedstaat oder von Universität zu Universität unterscheiden. Der Grundgedanke hinter dem Projekt, aus dem dieses Buch entstanden ist, beruht auf realen Bedürfnissen. Es wurden drei groÃe Herausforderungen identifiziert, die durch die Internationalisierungsaktivitäten des Erasmus+ Projekts New Modes of Mobility (New M) angegangen werden sollen: Europa zusammenbringen, indem das Bewusstsein und das Verständnis in Europa verbessert werden. Erhà hung der transversalen Kompetenzen der zukünftigen Arbeitskräfte und damit Verbesserung der europaweiten Beschäftigungsfähigkeit unserer Absolventen. Verringerung der Ungleichheiten in der internationalen Bildung. Zu diesem Zweck sollen die Schlüsselfaktoren Internationalisierung und Mobilität neu überdacht und überarbeitet werden. Das Hauptziel dieses Buches ist die Einführung von Mobilitätskonzepten unter Verwendung digitaler Technologien, die allen Teilnehmern eines Studiengangs zur Verfügung gestellt werden kà nnen. Die Autoren zeigen auch, wie neue pädagogische Konzepte entwickelt, erprobt und in bestehende Curricula implementiert wurden, um eine verbesserte Internationalisierung im eigenen Land zu erreichen.
