Dabei kommen auch Kinder- und Jugendliteratur, Popkultur oder Trivialkunst zur Sprache. In Anlehnung an die "Poetique du Divers" des karibischen Schriftstellers Edouard Glissant fordert Werner Wintersteiner eine Neuorientierung auch der Literaturdidaktik im Sinne interkultureller Bildung, die dem Wechsel von nationalen zu transkulturellen Paradigmen Rechnung tragt.
