The edges of the text block are browning with some lightish soil. The boards have some lightish edge wear, light rubbing wear. Black cloth covered boards, red lettering to front board and spine, color illustration to the front board, illustrated end papers front and rear. This volume contains black and white photos with short descriptions of many outlaws and gunmen of the West, a regular rogues gallery if you will. First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First edition. SIGNED. Quarto [31.5cm]. Printed black cloth over boards. Endpapers illustrated with scorpions, snakes and spiders. Spine mildly rolled. Bit of rubbing to extremities. Subtle restoration work along backstrip. Textblock beginning to crack in one spot. In a price clipped dust jacket with moderately chipped edges, several closed tears, and scattered losses. Dust jacket is split in two along spine, and has been repaired with tape. Laid in publisher's errata slip. Inscribed by co-author Marvin J. Hunter on the half title. Fascinating mini-biographies of hundreds of 19th century outlaws and desperadoes of the American West. Heavily illustrated with scarcely viewed photographs from the collection of N.H. Rose. Due to the nature of the subjects' infamy, there are many photographs of executions and post-mortem portraits.
