Also known as the 1819 psalm book and the Wallin Psalm book, was used in Sweden from 1819 to 1937. over half of the psalms were the work of Johan Olof Wallin (1779-1839) and other great poets such as Erik Gustaf Geijer. Though confirmed by the King, it was adopted successively by each church in the church of Sweden through its own decision. Three psalms (0.6%) were written by women. Ships from Dinkytown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Black leather-cover covers with elaborate title in gilt, gilt title and narrow decoration bands on spine, tooled edge covers, red page edges. Book mostly consists of up/down pages cut in middle (think Dutch doors) that turn independently of each other. 3.5" split at spine/front cover edge; top edge loss at head of spine; worn to boards at corners, else gentle wear. Hinges intact. Modern bookplate, owner's name on first page on front free endpaper, else no markings noted.
