Sales tactics intended for use by door-to-door salesmen engaged in selling pottery from the Brown-Melick Pottery Co. in Roseville, OH, the home of great American art pottery. In fact, we could find no record of this company, and there is a red stamp on the front cover, contemporary to publication, which reads "Hereafter Address The J. W. McCoy Pottery Co." One suspects that "Brown-Melick," which shares in part the name of one of the partners of the McCoy firm, was an aborted subsidiary of the new and widely popular McCoy brand.
