Dort ehelichte Haas die Tochter des Kupferstechers Johann Christian Gottfried Fritzsch. Ab 1754 ist er in Kopenhagen ansässig und wird dort 1755 zum Universitätsstecher ernannt. Er stach vorzugsweise Bildnisse, Buchillustrationen und Vignetten. Rechts unten signiert: gezeichnet. u: gestochen. v. J. Haas. 21,5 x 21,5 cm (Blatt), 16,2 x 18,1 cm (Darstellung).
