Author Glenn Harcourt uses several case studies brought to the fore by American painter Pamela Joseph in her recent "Censored" series. Harcourt's rigorous, culturally-measured and art historical approach complements Joseph's appropriation of these censored images as feminist critique. Harcourt argues that her work serves as a window toward larger questions in art. Includes 4 typewritten signed letters from Scholz to Carr discussing changes etc. Two pages of pencil notes in an unknown hand. Two photocopied pages of changes. Carbon of a two page synopsis by Carr. Photocopy of the Original Ace Books contract with Scholz. 79 pages of what seems to be the initial submission followed by 8 more photocopied pages of an outline of the remainder of the Novel. 535 photocopied pages of the typescript of a longer, presumably complete version of the Novel that seems to be, given the number of pages, longer than what was published.Some staining etc else Very Good.
