A manuscript containing the first draft screenplay of 'Oscar Wilde', a film produced by William Kirby from a screenplay written by Jo Eisinger. The film was released in 1960, starring Robert Morley, Ralph Richardson and Phyllis Calvert. Property of Zoya Film Productions, Belgravia, London. This biographical film surrounds the life of Oscar Wilde, with particular focus on Wilde's libel suit against the Marquess of Queensberry, and the following accusations of Wilde's homosexuality. Written by prominent British film and television writer, Jo Eisinger, whose career spanned more than forty years. Eisinger is best known for his psychologically complex thrillers, 'Gilda' (1946) and 'Night and the City' (1950). Bound in the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, smart, with light edge wear and the odd mark. One or two small tears, with a crease and tear to the head of the rear joint. Pencil mark to front cover. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean with a pencil mark to the title page. Very Good Indeed. book.

Poster with horizontal mailing folds, creases, scattered soil and stains, light edge wear, some foxing and brief notations verso. A nice example of a colorful and uncommon poster. A film noir biblio mystery, with an intrepid newspaperman working to solve the murder of a priest by following the coded clues found within the dead man's Bible to help find a valuable Leonardo da Vinci painting.
