Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware -If you had the opportunity to address the person that changed your world for the better as you grew confidently into your beautiful Queer and Black identity, what would you write What would you say to the person whose existence helped you develop into your authentic self or to the person tha…t unknowingly helped you understand the meaning of 'it gets better' In a time where long workdays and innumerable demands find us more and more isolated from each other, community care is both a revolutionary and a healing tool. There is unlimited power in supporting and nourishing those whom we share our roots, history, and identities with. With this in mind, the unique and intimate letters in this book are a declaration of unapologetic love from Queer Black writers that have taken up a movement with the intentional purpose of supporting and uplifting the identities, bodies, and shared understandings of our Queer Black community across the diaspora . This book is a declaration of love , light, friendship, and community that reminds us we are valid; that our stories matter; and most importantly, we are here to stay as we continue to slay our way into the future our ancestors dreamed of. 200 pp. Englisch, Französisch, Deutsch, Italienisch.

Contact seller4-star seller17" x 13-1/4" (43 x 33.5 cm) poster. An Apparently Unrecorded Poster Promoting a Concert to Benefit a Leftist British Magazine Focused on Legal Rights [Legal Publishing]. Up Against the Law Collective. A Benefit in Aid of Up Against the Law. [London: S.n., 1972?]. 17" x 13-1/4" (43 x 33.5 cm) poster, graphics in red on white pap…er. Small hole punched at top-edge, negligible light creasing and soiling. A well-preserved item. $450. * Up Against the Law (1972-1975) was a seminal British countercultural and leftist periodical dedicated to community legal education, civil liberties, and documenting police misconduct. Operating as an egalitarian collective, its contributors included prominent activists, legal campaigners, and members of radical defense organizations-most notably the Stoke Newington 8 Defence Group, which formed following the high-profile 1971 conspiracy trials of the British anarcho-communist group, The Angry Brigade. Published sporadically across nine issues, the magazine provided accessible "know your rights" guides on arrest procedures, squatting, drug busts, public demonstration, and immigration enforcement, serving as an essential toolkit for the era's liberation movements. The benefit event was hosted at the North Western Polytechnic (Kentish Town / Prince of Wales Road, London)-a notorious epicenter of 1970s student radicalism, union activism, and countercultural organizing. While the original periodical is moderately held (OCLC locates 13 institutional copies worldwide, with just 4 in North America: Library of Congress, Emory, Harvard, and the University of Michigan), ephemera and promotional posters for the collective are extraordinarily rare. See Noyce, The Directory of British Alternative Periodicals 1965-1974 1161. 17" x 13-1/4" (43 x 33.5 cm) poster (illustrator).
