Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the intricate world of maritime law during the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, offering a comprehensive analysis of prize court cases and regulations. The author meticulously examines the legal principles and precedents established during this pivotal conflict, shedding light on the complexities of naval warfare and its impact on neutral shipping. Readers are transported back to a time of empires and global power struggles, where the high seas became a battleground for control and influence. Through detailed case studies, the book explores critical concepts such as blockade, contraband, enemy property, and the rights and responsibilities of neutral nations. The thematic depth of the work extends beyond legal technicalities, prompting reflection on the delicate balance between national security and individual rights during times of war. By illuminating the legal framework that governed naval operations during the Russo-Japanese War, this book provides valuable insights into the evolution of international maritime law and its enduring relevance in shaping the conduct of nations at sea. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
