Encuadernación de tapa dura. Condition: Muy bien. In-fol. menor.- Portada ilustrada + 30 láminas de dibujos en blanco y negro.- Encuadernación en ¾ de marroquí azul; lomo liso; títulos dorados; cubiertas originales ilustradas en color conservadas.- Uno de los 100 ejemplares en papel China (núm. 67) reservados para el editor M. L. Conquet, con cada una de las láminas en doble estado, incluyendo la ilustración de cubierta y portada.- Encuadernación con ligeros desgastes.- Algunas láminas con suaves oxidaciones de fondo, como es habitual, pero en su mayoría muy limpias. Este álbum de Jean Louis Forain, publicado a propósito del escándalo del Canal de Panamá, señala el comienzo de su actividad como caricaturista político, cuando ya había logrado renombre como agudo dibujante de la vida social parisina. Tiempo después, junto con Caran d'Ache, fundaría un periódico antidreyfusista y mostraría sus aspectos virulentamente antisemitas. Buen ejemplar de la rara tirada de cabecera.
