Volume I, comprising issues I-VI of this scarce late 19th century periodical dedicated to the typographical and printing arts, with numerous color illustrations and advertisements throughout, and featuring numerous articles on printing, articles on specimen type, tones, hues, how to work colors, coverage of labor issues within the industry, specimens of electro tints, numerous advertisements for printing press equipment, and even the occasional satirical poem ('Keep Pegging Away'). This is a VG copy, with bookplate to fpep, hinges a little weak, fep heavily creased; minor buckling to upper quadrant of text block; wear to spine tips and fraying to corners; 4" patch of discoloration to upper rear board, with tear to cloth along lower rear board edge, but a sound copy overall of a scarce 19th century American typographical periodical, with 30 or so individual holdings in OCLC.
