Add to basketEncuadernación de tapa blanda. Condition: Bien. 2ª Edición. Edit. Siglo XXI Editores, S.A., 1970 México. 8ºM (18x10,5 cm). 148 págs. Rústica ilustrada con solapas. Cubierta deslucida con roces y soleado. Buen estado general.

Softcover. Condition: Very Good. Book Information & Inscription Details Author / Inscriber: Octavio Paz (Nobel Prize Laureate, 1990) Recipient: Lowell Dunham (Longtime Chair of Modern Languages, University of Oklahoma) Title: Posdata Publisher: Siglo Veintiuno Editores, S.A. (M?xico / Argentina / Espa?a) Edition / Date: Sixth Ed…ition (sexta edici?n), published August 13, 1971, with a print run of 6,000 copies. Format: Softcover / Original Trade Paperback with pictorial wraps. Handwritten Inscription: This premium association copy is personally inscribed by the author in black ink on the title page: In Spanish: "A Lowell Dunham, con amistad, Octavio Paz" In English: "To Lowell Dunham, with friendship, Octavio Paz" Condition Notes An exceptionally well-preserved and completely unrestored survivor of a 1970s Mexican trade paperback. The Cover: Very Good. The original cream-colored pictorial wraps are structurally clean and sound. The spine is uncracked with crisp, fully legible text. There is light, uniform age-toning along the margins and spine edge, which is standard for this paper stock, along with very minor shelf-rubbing at the tips. The flaps are intact and fold cleanly. The Binding: Fine. The tight, uncracked glue binding suggests the volume has been handled with immense care or left unread. The Interior: Fine. The pages are clean, crisp, and remarkably free from annotations, modern highlighting, underlines, or damp-staining. Octavio Paz's marker inscription on the title page remains bold, dark, and highly distinct without fading or bleed-through. About the Book & Author First published in 1970, Posdata (Postscript) is one of Octavio Paz's most critical socio-political essays, serving as an extension and re-evaluation of his landmark work El laberinto de la soledad (The Labyrinth of Solitude). In this text, Paz offers a blistering, profound critique of modern Mexican history, focusing heavily on the political climate surrounding the tragic 1968 Tlatelolco massacre. Octavio Paz (1914?1998) is widely regarded as one of the most influential writers, poets, and diplomats of the 20th century, culminating in his receipt of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1990. Inscribed by Author.
