Wouter Kusters laat in Pure waanzin zien dat waanzin geen concept is dat uitsluitend beheerd en uitgesproken wordt door psychiaters, maar een grensgebied waarin kunstenaars, filosofen, psychoten, psychiaters en zelfs normale mensen zich bewegen. Wouter Kusters is gepromoveerd taalkundige, postdoctoraal onderzoeker bij het Meertens Instituut en publicist.
