A collection of divine and moral songs for children, with titles such as: Praise for Creation and Providence, Heaven and Hell, Against Lying, Innocent Play, and Good Resolutions. Written by Isaac Watts, an English Congregational minister, hymn writer, theologian, and logician who was a prolific and popular hymn writer and is credited with some seven hundred and fifty hymns. Illustrated by Charles West Cope, an English painter and etcher of genre and history scenes. In the original full brown cloth. Externally, smart with minor bumping and light fading to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers. A small tear to the front endpaper. Very Good. book.
