Written with the intention to encourage French educators to include newspapers in their teachings. Jeffcott and Tossell co-edited several books together such as The German Newspaper Reader and The School Manual. Direct from the library of the late Hugh Selbourne MD (1906-1973) a noted book collector and diarist. In a full cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Bumping to extremities as well as head and tail of spine. Front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Rear hinge is weak with final endpaper seperate to textblock and attached to pastedown. Ink notations to both pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. The odd spot throughout, with one large spot to outer margin of first five leaves which does not affect text. Very Good. book.
