Por lo tanto, con base en el eje temático de los PÚBLICOS lectores ?y sus procesos de creación y constante transformación, orientados por las dos nociones indicadas?, Vital comienza la revisión del siglo XIX a partir del concepto de sistema literario y las grandes figuras que lo conformaron por medio de apropiaciones estéticas enfocadas a la formación de un nacionalismo educador e integrador de los nuevos discursos. El repaso al siglo XX contextualiza el proceso de profesionalización del escritor en el marco de modernidad y progreso sociopolítico en América Latina, con las consecuentes crisis bélicas, económicas, sociales, etc. , que ha conllevado. Finalmente, al llegar al siglo XXI el autor pone en cuestión algunas nociones imperantes en el discurso público, tales como poder, violencia y capital, entre otras, con base en ejemplos de las letras contemporáneas que profundizan en las exigencias de nuestros tiempos; se abre así la reflexión en torno a la evolución de los públicos lectores latinoamericanos, sus hábitos de consumo y su horizonte de expectativas a partir de una crítica realidad. *** Nota: Los envíos a España peninsular, Baleares y Canarias se realizan a través de mensajería urgente.
