About The Author: Varalakshmi Janapathy had a brilliant academic career and studied at the famous Andhra Christian College, Guntur and Law College, Madras. She took a PGdiploma in Politics and Public Administration from Madras University and another diploma in Journalism from BIET, Bombay. She took Visarada in Hindi from DBHP Sabha, Madras. She is a well known writer and was winner of a Gold Medal in intercollegiate debates. Microstructural studies with the help of scanni…ng electron microscopy (SEM) revealed uniform grain structure. The dc electrical conductivity ( dc) reveals that the ferrite samples have conductivities varying from 10-6 to 10-9 ohm-1cm-1. This shows that they are fairly resistive. The temperature variation of dc conductivity shows that there are three temperature regions having different types of conduction.

From the present studies it is concluded that the samples having low resistivity show high dielectric constant and high loss factor and converse is true in other cases. The loss factor studies revealed that there are dielectric relaxations in the studied in the present work. They are attributed to the presence of copper ion which is available in multiple valence states.
