After that, she befriends some of the oddest people she's ever met: Kevin Nivek, the ex-fighter, turned peace-lover; Natalie Willows, the absent-minded genius inventor; Sarah Douglas, the hopeless gossip and desperate journalist; Keith, the mysterious guitarist who guides her path; and Kotone Konnoe, whose physical uniqueness rivals Heather's. In part one of Wings of Eternity, Heather attempts to establish her life in Sael. Driven to desperation from her responsibility to take care of her younger brother, Jeremy, she finds her morals challenged by accepting a despicable occupation as an entertainer at a gentlemen's club. All of her anxiety and fear grows and comes to a head when it becomes known that her amazing vocal prowess can effect the delicate emotions of man and she becomes targeted by those who seek that level of power. Part two involves Heather's attempt to rebuild a life shattered by human greed. However, with the new knowledge of her ultimate destiny and the ominous threat of a tragedy beyond her imagining, she can never be the same.
