Spine heavily worn with minor damages at top and bottom. Insert uncut. Occasional foxing and minor spotting, mainly in upper margin on pp. 9-16. Plates with protective paper. Bookplate of Kühnholtz-Lordat. A charming copy.Bring Itineraria svecana 315. Schiötz Itineraria Norvegica 897***. Plates by J. Merigot after Louis Belanger. They are coloured in a few copies of the work. The plates in this copy are somewhat yellow-toned. Text part with imprint "De l'imprimerie de Cox, Fils, & Baylis, Great queen street", while the plates were most likely printed in France. The author and draughtsman Belanger travelled in the Scandinavian countries in the autumn of 1798. Among the places they visited were Helsingborg, Trollhättan, Stockholm, Åland, Åbo and parts of northern Finland. The plates are mostly landscape views from the Finnish part of Lapland, but in the beginning there are also views of the castle Kronborg, including parts of Helsingborg and Helsingör, the waterfalls at Trollhättan, and Stockholm seen from the island of Långholmen. The same plates were used again the following year in Joseph Acerbi's "Vues de la Suède".…
