The writer had a good style and was extremely observant, describing the countryside and its inhabitants, the weather and crops, as well as military matters. BINDING/CONDITION: red cloth with gilt spine text; a Very Good book, with a Good dust jacket; the jacket is price clipped. index. Map endpapers (front and rear are different). 8vo (about 8.5 inches tall). 304 pages.
