En este libro se ha recogido las Memorias de Joachim von Robbentrop que escribió durante el proceso de Núremberg en su celda. También figuran en él algunos escritos póstumos y determinados fragmentos de cartas. El título ENTRE LONDRES Y MOSCÚ fue elegido… porque no solamente enmarca el ámbito del que hacer político de Ribbentrop, sino que cifra el problema de la política exterior del Tercer Reich. Memorias entre Londres y Moscú" fue escrito por Joachim von Ribbentrop en su celda durante el Juicio de Nüremberg. Se incluyen también algunos escritos póstumos y fragmentos de documentos y cartas recopilados por su esposa, Anneliese von Ribbentrop, para avalar todo lo declarado por su esposo. Quien fuera el Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores del Tercer Reich lega a la posteridad las intimidades y entretelones de las negociaciones diplomáticas que mantuvieron en vilo al mundo entero. Nadie mejor que él para echar luz sobre la diplomacia alemana y los eventos claves que desencadenaron la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Algo raro en las memorias de postguerra, no intenta von Ribbentrop exculparse ni echar la culpa a Hitler por la guerra o la caída del Reich. Al contrario, defiende la actuación suya y del Führer exponiendo todos los intentos de su ministerio para lograr acuerdos con las grandes potencias y evitar la guerra. Las negociaciones por llegar a acuerdos favorables para ambas partes son narradas en detalle y contrastadas con las opiniones en contrario. Ataca a quienes sostienen que Hitler pretendía dominar el mundo y pone especial énfasis en las simpatias suyas y del Führer por Inglaterra y los constantes intentos por lograr acuerdos con el Imperio Inglés. Von Ribbentrop incluso sostiene que el tener que recurrir a la potencia militar para sostener las posiciones alemanas fue consecuencia de la imposibilidad de llegar a acuerdos amigables con Inglaterra. Tampoco ahorra críticas contra la Sociedad de Naciones y el lamentable Tratado de Versalles que pretendía mantener a Alemania en inferioridad de condiciones, por lo que justifica los intentos de Hitler de librarse de estas cadenas. El problema de Danzig, por supuesto, no podía quedar al margen. Von Ribbentrop se queja de la poca colaboración de Polonia y de las grandes potencias para solucionar este problema, lo que podría haber evitado el desencadenamiento de la guerra. Los intentos de llegar a acuerdos con la Unión Soviética cuando ya no quedaban más alianzas posibles tanto como el inevitable desencadenamiento de la guerra del Este son tratatos también en detalle por el Ministro del Reich, dejando a la posteridad juzgar los intentos de Hitler por frenar la invasión del bolchevismo sobre la cultura de Europa, aun cuando Europa le dió la espalda. Guarda también un lugar para sus varios esfuerzos por evitar que los EEUU entren en guerra. Los desacuerdos con Hitler también son tratados, aunque abiertamente declara que se negó a hablar de ellos durante los juicios de Nuremberg pues salvar su vida echando la culpa a Hitler ante un tribunal extranjero sólo le hubiera ganado una vida de deshonra que no merece ser vivida. Por el contrario, se hace cargo de sus intentos de crear un Reich floreciente junto a Hitler y acepta como justa su muerte cuando ya el Reich ha también caído. No porque fuera justa para el tribunal de Nuremberg, sino por una ley superior del soldado que prefiere morir junto a sus ideales cuando ya la lucha por ellos no le es dada.
