The Duke of Clarence and Avondale, Prince Albert Victor, to Southern India in 1889 is mentioned in several books about British India, royal tours, and colonial history .Thirteen Years Among the Wild Beasts of India by George Peress Sanderson chroni…cles his elephant-catching techniques, which were showcased during the Duke's visit.
