The past few years have been the period of instability, crises and major changes in the international system. Four strategic events in particular have far greater effect on the international system in coming decades. They are the russian invasion of ukraine, the rise of india as major power, the rivalry between china and the united states and the instability in middle east. According to an international expert on investment rucher sharma, "right now, for the first time in my memory, we have an international financial crisis in which the dollar has been weakening rather than strengthening. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come" (gps, 26th march, 2023). On the other hand, all western and central european countries are decreasing their energy dependence on russia by exploring alternative options, especially germany, which is the biggest country in europe. The german chancellor olaf scholz said that it will spend $100 billion on defense to counter the expansion of the russian towards western europe. This idea was approved by the german parliament by two third majority, it includes buying latest weapons and jet from the united states like f-35 (scholz, 6th march, 2023). These developments show that a shift in international system is taking place and all countries are strategically re-aligning themselves according to their geo-strategic objectives and realities.
