Erwin Kehrer (1874-1959), studierte in Heidelberg und München, promovierte 1899 in Freiburg und war dort am pathologischen Institut, an den Frauenkliniken in Freiburg (Hegar), Bonn (Fritzsch), Heidelberg (F.A.Kehrer, Rosthorn) und Wien (Chrobak, Schauta) tätig. 1903 habilitierte er sich in Heidelberg für Geburtshilfe und Gynäkologie (1909 a.o.Professor), 1910 wurde er als Ordinarius nach Bern, 1911 als Direktor der Kgl., dann Staatl. Frauenklinik nach Dresden berufen, seit 1925 wirkte er als o. Professor in Marburg. Bis zu seiner Emeritierung im 65.Lensjahr wirkte Kehrer als Direktor der Universitätsklinik in Marburg -cf. Fischer II, p.748; III, p.769.
