Spine and boards show some wear and soiling with a large stain to the upper board which continues to front pastedown. Binding is tight. No dust jacket. Text block is good overall with occasional mark…s but minor. Frontis page has large stain to edge as do all portait pages, which also have tissue guards, but images are unaffected largely. All pages are free from notations. Interesting portion of a hand written ink letter pasted to front end-paper appears to be a signature in Spanish? but untranslated as yet. Book Plate of Mary Ford on front paste down. Despite the water staining, this is a fascinating reference source with nice illustrations and plates.
