Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. This book is the final contribution to the trilogy which I set out to complete. It is the third addition to my recently published books, "Life is for the Living" and "Slices of Life." In this book I propose to try to search for an understanding and an explanation of various aspects of life as I perceived them.I have always believed that we are not just random or accidental beings placed to live out our lives on earth. There is a purpose for having this life for each one of us, but we seem to spend our entire lives searching for the meaning and reason of our own living without ever finding a final answer. I am also convinced that no one can hope to truly begin to understand what life is meant to be, until one has begun to personally experience living. Equally, I am also convinced that nothing meaningful can ever be learnt by copying other people's lives, or waiting on their approval before stepping forward in our own life.My hope for this book is that it will continue on the theme of the other books and be an opportunity to cover greater ground. I shall be writing brief comments on various aspects of life and living as I saw and experienced them, using quotations to reinforce and embellish my thoughts and to guide my direction and thinking. It is my sincere hope that they will serve as a platform to encourage others to examine their own personal thoughts and actions, and with any luck, initiate in them an interest to search out their own lives for themselves.Dr. Edward A. Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. This book, a sequel of my recently published book entitled Life is for the Living, is an attempt by me to record my own personal interpretations of life as I see them through the words of others. This is in no way whatsoever an attempt to analyze or reflect on what the authors meant. It is not meant to be exhaustive, nor is it all-inclusive, but rather a reflection of my own feelings and my own personal reactions. It is, if you will, my interpretations of life as represented by the quotations of others. I see each one as slices of life, which together have helped to produce the person I am. This is not intended to influence anyone particularly, since I firmly believe that interpretation is very much a personal journey that can only be achieved by the individual, acting alone.Slices of Life therefore, is a reflection of me and who I really am. This reflects how I think, how I feel, and above all, how I have lived. It is my sincere hope that as you explore this book, you will get to know more about me and what I have lived for. If you do, then this exercise was not done in vain. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - In her 1984 book, The Welsh Lineage of John Lewis (1592-1657) Emigrant to Gloucester, Virginia, Grace McLean Moses (1908-1996), a professional genealogist, established that the true Warner Hall Lewis family ancestor was the emigrant John Lewis and not, as previously thought, Robert Lewis. This important discovery led her on an odyssey resulting in the publication of this book with the 'read only' CD. The journey took her back to the ancient Welsh King Arch (Archwyn), who was born about 50 BC, was Grace's 60th great grandfather and the first King of the Apostolic Era; the Lord Rhys Goch, Lord of Ystrad, whose line descends from all six of the Royal Tribes of Wales; the warrior King Caradawg Freichfras, born about 510 AD, who was one of King Arthur II's three Round Table 'Battle Knights;' the Edwards, Kings of England; William the Conqueror; Emperor Charlemagne in France; and two Roman Empire connections.Over a forty year period Grace Moses accumulated a large personal library and voluminous notes and records in conducting her research. She became a member of many historical and genealogical organizations. For the past seven years her son Colonel Edward M. Moses has compiled all of her records and has authored this book and CD. The purpose of the book is to direct the reader's focus to several important 'branches' and 'limbs' of the pedigree. It will show the family 'double line,' proven by Grace Moses, to the emigrant John Lewis. The CD contains many prominent Virginia names that include three American presidents, a Supreme Court Chief Justice, and numerous Burgesses, Councilors and military leaders. This extensive, detailed research aide contains over 5,000 names; 300 documents, correspondence, and picture exhibit images; 300 listed sources; and 15,000 citations and memos. The CD also contains four computer programs and six family exhibit image folders. There are two Master Genealogist data backup folders for TMG 4d and TMG version 5 programs; a GEDCOM file for users of other genealogical programs; and the Second Site program for persons with no genealogical software.…
