With Best wishes Clyde W Tombaugh 28 December 1983." Original publisher's smooth dark blue boards lettered silver gilt on spine and on front cover. Illustrated account of the discovery of Pluto by Tombaugh, described in the book as 'the only man alive, and the only man in the twentieth century, to have discovered a planet'. Pluto has since been reclassified by the International Astronomical Union as a dwarf-planet. Moore and Tombaugh are the authors of different chapters in the book. Tombaugh discovered the Pluto in 1930 when he was a 23-year-old at only a high school diploma, he died in 1997 age 90. Very good indeed in very good indeed dust jacket.
