One or two small marks on front cover and minor fox-marks throughout.

This edition comprises 19 maps and plans, all present and correctly folded except that sadly, pages 3 to 17 have become detached, including a map of Bath. There are 96 additional pages of fascinating advertisements. There is bumping to the covers and the spine is darkened by sunlight. The binding and overall condition is very good for its age.

The cover is the familiar red hard cover with embossed impressions of traditional wrought iron hinges.There is significant age-related fading to the spine and covers, with signs of wear. There are 88 pages of advertisements, giving an interesting insight into travel and hotels at the end of the nineteenth century.

Many general maps suffered this fate to allow use outside the book either for journey planning or orienteering on site. There are 96 additional pages of advertisements. The book is in good condition but spoiled by water damage to the cover. It is perfectly serviceable but externally very visibly cosmetically compromised.
