Band II… (1.?3. Abteilung; cpl.). - Ad. II.1 : ?Der in erster Auflage im Jahre 1914 abgeschlossene Band des Kommentars zum Eherecht ist seit einiger Zeit erschöpft. Während seine Systematik im allgemeinen beibehalten werden konnte, ergab sich für die zweite Auflage die Hauptaufgabe, die Doktrin und Jurisprudenz der ersten zehn Jahre des ZGB, also bis und mit Ende 1921, zu würdigen und einzuarbeiten.? (Bd. 1, p. VII). - Ad II.2 : ?Die erste Auflage dieses Kommentars über das Verwandtschaftsrecht erschien in Lieferungen, die aus verschiedenen Gründen [.] längere Unterbrechungen erleiden mussten. Sie wurde 1912 begonnen; der letzte Teil meines Abschnitts wurde 1920 in Druck gegeben. Gegen Ende 1922 erfolgte der Auftrag zur Bearbeitung der zweiten Auflage [.]. [.] Die vier ersten Abschnitte des siebenten Titels [i.e. Das eheliche Kindesverhältnis] lagen Ende 1924, die Abschnitte über elterliche Gewalt und elterliche Vermögensrechte Ende 1925 gedruckt vor. Bis Ende 1926 war der Abschnitt über das aussereheliche Kindesverhältnis sukzessive in Druck gegeben, die Abschnitte Unterstützungspflicht und Hausgewalt folgten 1927.? (Bd. 2, p. V; der Band setzt mit dem erwähnten siebenten Titel ein). - Ad II.3 : ?Von der ersten Auflage dieses Bandes erschien die erste Lieferung im September 1915, die letzte im Mai 1918. [.] Dank der guten Aufnahme, die das Buch fand, konnte mir der Verlag schon Ende 1919 mitteilen, dass die erste Auflage fast vergriffen sei. [.] Die Aufgabe der Neubearbeitung war eine doppelte: Vor allem mussten die Mängel, die mit der lieferungsweisen Entstehung der ersten Auflage zusammenhingen, beseitigt werden.
