En esta obra podemos ver recogidas no solo una relación de las descripciones que hace el autor sobre los países que visitó, sino que podemos observar cómo retrata con detalle a las comunidades judías presentes en aquellos lugares, añadiendo información de algunos territorios que no visitó en persona, llegando a incluir la judería de la ciudad china de Kaifeng.
