Oln. mit silbergeprägtem Firmenlogo. Am unteren Viertel des Einbandes und des Buchblocks durchgehend mit leichter Feuchtigkeitsspur. Am Einband fast nicht sichtbar, innen mit schwachem braunem Rändchen, insgesamt eigentlich aber relativ dezent und nur am vorderen Vorsatz und den ersten fünf Bl. etwas deutlicher, sonst nur schwach sichtbar und an den Tafeln überhaupt nur auf der unbedruckten Rückseite bemerkbar. Stempel auf Vorsatz (Ate Werkbücherei). Trotz des Wasserschadens noch bemerkenswert gutes und recht frisches Exemplar. Nicht bei Heidtmann. Der Verfasser des Textes H. Röger (1883-1954) war Landrat des Oberamtes Maulbronn. Sehr gute Industrieaufnahmen, besonders die des bedeutenden Photographen A. Lazi (die Urheber der Bilder sind aber nicht einzeln ausgewiesen). Der Portrait- und Industriephotograph Lazi (1884-1955) machte als Amateur 1906 die Photographie zum Hauptberuf, gründete in München ein eigenes Atelier und bildete sich nebenher in Abendkursen an der Bayerischen Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt weiter. 1908 übersiedelte er nach Paris, wo er Angestellter im Atelier von Paul Nadar, dem Sohn des Photopioniers Nadar (eig. Gaspard-Félix Tournachon) wurde. 1918 gründete er in Freudenstadt ein neues Atelier, zog aber 1928 nach Stuttgart, wo er seinen Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt hauptsächlich auf Industriephotographie verlagerte. Er lebte während der NS-Zeit hauptsächlich von seinen Aufträgen aus der Industrie, da er 1933, fünf Jahre nach seiner Berufung, aus der Gesellschaft Deutscher Lichtbildner austrat, als deren Vorsitzender Franz Grainer auf einer Tagung in Erfurt den Verband auf eine nationalsozialistische Linie einschwor und den Leibphotographen Hitlers Heinrich Hoffmann aufnahm. Nach eigener Angabe hatte ihn die Berufsgruppe "als staatsfeindlich ausgeschaltet", da er sich als Pazifist betätigt habe. Staatliche und städtische Aufträge waren ihm danach verwehrt. 1950 gründtete er in Stuttgart die "Internationale Schule für Höhere Fotografie - Lazi" (heute Lazi Akademie). Otto Kropf (1901-1970) betrieb vor und nach dem Krieg ein Studio für technische Photographie in Pforzheim. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs war er 1940 als Photograph bei einer Propagandakompagnie an der Invasion Belgiens beteiligt und dort bis 1943 tätig, später auch in Paris, den Niederlanden, Italien und Norwegen.
