Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. 1st Edition. First Edition printed in Great Britain, but with St. Martin's Press appearing on the book & dj's spine tail. VG 8vo hardcover in a fair dj. Lightly bumped spine head and tail. Prior owner stamp on the front and rear paste down pages; penciled phrase on the ffep; very light smudges on a free end paper. Remaining contents are clean and securely bound. Includes the somewhat age-tanned but otherwise fine real fold-out map of the author's journey. The dj, which is not price clipped ($4.50), has a large tear that has been tape repaired from underneath, plus a large chip under which the bottom quarter of the rear of the the dj is missing. There is also some additional dj edge wear but this is relatively minor. NOT an ex-library copy.
