Poniéndolo de manifiesto, Jean Bricmont establece el verdadero papel que cumple la ideología intervencionista en la expansión del imperialismo, y describe el papel que juega Estados Unidos, secundado por la OTAN y la Unión Europea, en un incremento de las acciones bélicas que pueden calificarse ya de guerra global. Jean Bricmont (Bélgica, 1952), es profesor de física teórica en la Universidad de Lovaina. Su actividad científica le ha merecido obtener diversos premios.
