So hat sich auch in der Mikrowellentechnik, die im Lauf der Jahre ein Sondergebiet der Hochfrequenz technik w…urde, eine spezielle Mel3technik herausgebildet, die sich von den bei niedri geren Frequenzen angewendeten Verfahren unterscheidet und sich an die Eigenschaf ten der Mikrowellenbauteile anpaBt. Wenn auch durch die rasche technische Ent wicklung die Konstruktionen und Bauelemente von Mel3geraten sehr schnell veralten, so bleiben doch die grundlegenden Mel3methoden und die Prinzipien konstruktiver Gestaltung von Mikrowellenbauteilen tiber lange Jahre die gleichen. Deshalb erschien es sinnvoll, an Hand von Beispielen heute gebrauchlicher Me- gerate die Mel3methoden zu erlautern und mit Hilfe zahlreicher Konstruktions skizzen auf die Eigenarten von Mikrowellenbauteilen hinzuweisen, auch wenn diese schon nach kurzer Zeit im Detail verandert sein werden. Die Entwicklung der letzten Jahre lieB in der MikroweUenmeBtechnik zwei Rich tungen erkennen: die Erh6hung der Mel3genauigkeit und die Automatisierung der Mel3verfahren. Die erste ftihrte zu steigender mechanischer Prazision mancher Bau teile und zur Beriicksichtigung auch kleiner Fehlerursachen. Die zweite ist gekenn zeichnet durch die Einftihrung breitbandiger Wobbelverfahren mit oszillografischer Sichtanzeige des Mel3wertes. Vorwiegend in den Abschnitten 6 und 7 wurde auf diese Verfahren eingegangen. Meinem hochverehrten Lehrer, Herrn Professor Meinke, an dessen Institut ich seit vie len Jahren arbeite, verdanke ich viele Anregungen. Meiner Frau, die die Rein schrift des Manuskripts vornahm, und dem Verlag, der mit Sorgfalt die Herstellung des Buches besorgte, sei an dieser Stelle besonders gedankt.
