Einmal gibt es die grüne Leinenvariante mit rot unterlegtem Titelschildchen und einer schwarzgeprägte floralen Bordüre mit ebenfalls roten Knospen, die einem Rahmen gleich, auf drei Zentimeter Breite am Rand über die Deckel und den Rücken läuft. Zum anderen gibt es eine Vorzugsausgabe in hellem Halbpergament, welche die gleiche Dekorvariante wie die Leinenausgabe besitzt, nur daß diese als Goldprägung ausgeführt wurde. Es sei darauf verwiesen, daß dieses Dekor auch in Pappe sowie in Leinen ausgeführt wurde. Die Gründe dafür scheinen die damals zeitweise recht schwierigen wirtschaftlichen Verhältnisse gewesen zu sein, die ein Ausweichen auf Pappe oder Leinen erforderten. So gibt es Bände, die ich nur in Pappe ausgeführt kenne. Der Uniformität der Reihe tut das keinen Abbruch. Der Unterschied erschließt sich erst bei näherem Hinsehen. Weitaus wichtiger wäre eine Beachtung der unterschiedlichen Patinierungsgrade, die Pergament und besonders helle Pappe alterungsbedingt unterliegen. Ich habe mich selbstverständlich bemüht, in der oben angeführten Zustandsbeschreibung diesbezüglich möglichst genaue Angaben zu machen.
