Trade Paperback. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 233 Pages. Plastic spiral bound binding. Six inked lines of gift inscription on the front endpaper signed by the author Aug 2016. I had my first near-death experience before my fourth birthday after my family had moved to Texas. I fell out of a car at 55 mph and remember look…ing down at my father as he held my bloody body, my mother driving to get us to the hospital. My second near-death experience was when I was between 15 and 16 years old. My final experience occurred on March 28, 1966, in the small village of Vin Loc, Vietnam. I was a Marine, had joined in July in 1962, and ended up in Vietnam from August 4, 1965 to May 27, 1966. My soul separated from my body, and I was able to see myself lying on the ground, wounded from GSWs and concussion grenades. Living through near-death experiences totally changes your outlook on life. You realize we are spiritual beings experiencing this earthly reality. At some point, I began to realize that I needed to share this with other people that had also been traumatized, and help those individuals realize like I did who we really are and how we can survive. Honesty, Fidelity, Love of God and Country, Family, Friends. Never ever give up on the human condition, just because we know we are spiritual beings learning to be human…do not give up on those that have not awakened yet. Inscribed By the Author.

Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. An act of introspection, a lifting of the curtain, a gnaw at the jugular, a wisp of the jocular, all this and more in Earl Fowler's reverent and irreverent exposition of the pain and joy of an aged woman from India plopped into a nursing home on the West Coast. Beyond a culture clash, it is…a cultural explosion for Mummy, who finds most things and people repugnant, especially the author, The Printer, while she lusts for A&W chicken strips. Fowler's poetic prose is an uber mash of cultural references, from James Joyce to Glen Campbell, Hollywood to Bollywood, Rabindranath Tagore to Sylvia Plath. A 21st century coat of many colours, these snapshots of immigration, aging, loneliness and loss are salted with irony and Fowler's unique humour. A tale ingeniously told. "Michael Mirolla, editor"--Title page verso. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Contact seller4-star sellerSoft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Paperback. In original tan printed wrappers, pp. 91-122, and very large folding color soil survey map of Jenkins County at rear. The map, based on U. S. Geological Survey topographic coverage, shows cultural details (individual buildings, roads, railroads, etc.) in addition to soil types… and distribution within the region, necessary for delineating important and desirable agricultural areas. Descriptions and characteristics of soil classifications shown on the map are provided in the report together with information about principal and lesser crops grown at the time of the survey. An early edition and possibly the first soil survey of Jenkins County. Later soil surveys provide more maps and finer details but lack the visual appeal, simplicity, and historical content of this earlier large color map. *** Condition: Complete as issued. Ex-library with ink stamp and call numbers on front wrapper; internally clean. Removed from bound volume with roughness and chipping to wrappers along the bound edge, loose or detaching pages, and stitch holes along the left margin not affecting the map. The map has a couple of short opening tears and is bright, crisp, and clean.
