Quandt on the Camp David negotiations, Lawrence I. Conrad on the archeology of early Islam, Henry J. MacAdam on 19th century Orientalist and diplomat William Henry Waddington and much more. This copy is an interesting association copy SIGNED with the words "towards understanding Moslem' by author S. A. Maududi (who has written several books on the Holy Qur'an and on Islam) and also SIGNED in purple ink by Gary Zukav under the words "Dancing Wooly Masters" and above "glorious Quran" (Zukav is the author of 'The Dancing Wu Li Masters' among other books). Presumably Zukav's personal copy with some underlining and marginal notations in several essays in the same purple ink (also in green and blue ink). Printed wrappers, small 8vo, 25 pp. Approximately 150 items. This catalogue follows an earlier (undated but 1913) catalogue issued by the firm of Dodd & Livingston and compiled by Luther S. Livingston, which offered a near-complete set of Swinburne's first editions and the autograph manuscript (of A Midsummer Holiday) for sale as a collection. Livingston died in December 1914 with the collection unsold and his partner and successor to the business Dodd lost little time in re-offering its contents through this catalogue, this time with items individually priced. The collection included a number of presentation copies and many limited editions. Wrappers slightly creased, otherwise Very Good.

The closed text block is lightly toned to the top and bottom edges and has a small spot to the fore-edge. The contents, have a small inscription covered with whiteout to the top-right corner of the title page, light offsetting to the prelims and the occasional foxing spot throughout. In the fine, structurally sound slipcase. An attractive example of a craft binding. Caernarvonshire Historical Society's annual transaction publications first began in 1939, with the last identified issue (volume 69) released in 2008, and promoted the study of the history and antiquities of the historical county of Caernarfon. A full list of the newest contemporary subscribers to the transaction series (at the time of publication) follows on from the annual society meeting minutes transcribed in Welsh and English at the rear.
