Manuscript / Paper Collectible
Final draft script for the 1963 film, seen here under both the final title and the working title "The Yellow Golliwog." Director Robert Hartford-Davis' working copy, with his manuscript ink and penciled annotations, deletions, and drawings throughout. Call sheet bound behind the back wrapper, dated Friday, 5th April, 1963. A group of English school girls begin wearing yellow teddy bear pins on their uniform to signify that they have lost their virginity. Though instantly packaged at the time as a sexploitation film, "The Yellow Teddybears" is very much a pre-Swinging London message picture. Set in England, shot on location in London and Surrey, England. Red untitled wrappers with a die-cut window in the British style. Title page present, dated February 1963, noted as Final, with credits for screenwriters Donald and Derek Ford. 104 leaves, with last page of text numbered 85. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with pink and goldenrod revision pages throughout. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Very Good plus, bound in a custom tall, green, titled spring-back binder.
