Galloway for his services of bringing a large inventory to him by wagon in 1837. "I left Fredericksburg on 14th Oct which makes. It has a full page forward letter to Thomas Glass from David W. Galloway in 1837. Here a…paraphrase the long letter: "I arrived here this evening I left Fredericksburg on 14th Oct which makes 22 day I have been on the way from Fredericksburg to this place is 375 miles which have come in 19 day on this road are very high partially high horse feed which I tried to purchase.the wagons can get a meal for 25 centsthe wagon should go 20 miles a day. I shall therefore makes out the account .I shall pay wagon 52.93 and then there will be a balance yours truly David W. Galloway.".The following is the inventory list and the prices: "D.W. GallowayTo Thomas Glass for services of wagons for 375 miles at 20 miles a day which would be 19 days 3.50 ff bb 50 deduct 3 days for wagon returning emptywhich would be 16 days 350 $56.00." It has a 2 full pages inside the letter of the cost of goods being delivered. The letter is addressed to "Mr Thomas Glass Winchester" ; the letter is followed and I believe it had a tiny imprint of a stamp; it has tears to the edges and is browning from age; overall considering the age it is in GOOD COND. Signed by Author(s).
