They are best known as co-founders of the magazine The Spectator, a daily publication in England, lasting from 1711 to 1712, which aimed "to enliven morality with wit, and to temper wit with morality." Illustrated by Ralph Cleaver, a British artist and soldier. In the original blue cloth binding with gilt. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities.
