Text block edges toned; foxing to top edge as well. Endpapers toned; some scattered light soiling and foxing to interior leaves with strongest foxing occurring on pages adjacent to the book's plates. Binding stressed between various quires but holding. Includes eight tables, thirty plates (twenty single image b/w plates, seven double b/w image plates, 1 b/w map, and two two-page state color maps -"Geological and Artesian Water Map of Alabama as frontispiece and "Map of Alabama Showing Approximately the Artesian Systems"), and twenty-three figures (some of which are small b/w maps as well).
