Images of historical times in California from the prehistoric age (La Brea Tar Pits) to as indigenous tribe of the Los Angeles area to the arrival of galleon ships to the Gold Rush to the invention of the airplane (as a sign of the modern age). CONDITION: overall very good. Paper is clean and exhibits usual warping from the press that does not fully crease. Very light age tanning to sheet edges. Images are strong. Boards exhibit chipping on edges and corners and age tanning to edges; original label is intact but rubbed and lightly chipped. Spine cloth is intact but shows usual wear. Signed by Illustrator(s).
