Dort gründeten die Neuankömmlinge unter schwierigen Bedingungen die Siedlung Puhoi. Drei weitere Schiffe mit Egerländern aus derselben Region ließen das Dorf anwachsen. Durch ihre gemeinsame Herkunft konnten die Einwohner im Umgang miteinander lange Zeit ihren Dialekt bewahren, doch heute gibt es in Puhoi niemanden mehr, der den Dialekt beherrscht.
