Il s'interesse aux petits et grands evenements tel qu'il les voit depuis son automobile plutot qu'aux resultats sportifs, et surtout aux hommes dont il fait le portrait. Il decrit de facon poignante la vie dure des coureurs sur les routes de l'epoque, des gravillons de silex en Bretagne a la boue des cols pyreneens et alpins. Il nous fait assister aussi a l'immense engouement populaire. Albert Londres, ne le 1er novembre 1884 a Vichy et mort le 16 mai 1932 dans l'ocean Indien, est un journaliste et ecrivain francais. Je demeure convaincu qu'un journaliste n'est pas un enfant de choeur et que son role ne consiste pas a preceder les processions, la main plongee dans une corbeille de petales de roses.
