Dreyer: Karten- u. Rundsichtenverzeichnis AVB 94 (ermittelte Datierung 1871, lt. Angabe der ÖNB jedoch 1868), nicht bei Imhof; O. Pausch nennt im Werkverzeichnis in seiner Veröffentlichung zu Anton Sattler (Mitt.Ges.Salzb.Landeskunde, 152. 2012, S. 357) zwei jeweils 1871 erschienene Auflagen (mit identischen Maßen). Das bemerkenswerte Hochkönig-Panorama wurde gemeinsam von Anton Sattler (1846-1883), Jurist und "Alpenzeichner", und dem Salzburger Kunst- und Kulturmäzen Carl von Frey (1826-1896), Gründungsmitglied der Salzburger Alpenvereins-Sektion, an einem einzigen Tag, dem 11. September 1868 gezeichnet. Diese von beiden als "vortrefflich gezeichnete" Rundschau war für die Generalversammlung des DuOeAV 1871 in Salzburg veröffentlicht worden, und das erste im Druck veröffentlichte Panorama von Sattler und Frey. "Es fand guten Absatz und wurde nochmals aufgelegt" (vgl. Pausch "Der Salzburger Alpenzeichner Anton Sattler", in: Mitteilungen der Gesellschaft für Salzburger Landeskunde. 152.2012, S. 321-371 u. G. Müller "Bergpanoramen waren seine Leidenschaft: Anton Sattler (1846-1883)", in: Mittheilungen der Gesellschaft für Salzburger Landeskunde 144.2004, S. 359-372). Der Hochkönig (2938 m) ist der höchste Gipfel der Berchtesgadener Alpen, 1826 gelang dem Salzburger Priester und Professor für Orientalistik Peter Carl Thurwieser (1789-1865) die erste touristische Besteigung.
